Vivo officially introduced the X200 FE in India today, marking its arrival alongside the Vivo X Fold 5. The new device, a lighter version of the Vivo X200 released in October 2024, enters the premium smartphone market with notable hardware changes and a lower price tag. A side-by-side comparison reveals substantial differences in build, camera systems, internals, and battery capacity.
The Vivo X200 FE will retail at Rs 54,999 in India for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. It features a flat-edge design, narrow bezels, and a punch-hole front camera. On the back, a pill-shaped module houses dual sensors, with an additional lens and flash aligned adjacent to it.
In comparison, the original Vivo X200 costs Rs 65,999 for the same RAM and storage. It adopts a round camera module integrating four sensors and a flash, giving it a more traditional flagship appearance. Both power and volume buttons are positioned on the right edge of the frame.
The Vivo X200 FE is equipped with a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED panel supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset. The handset operates on Android 15 and includes a 6500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging.
In contrast, the Vivo X200 sports a larger 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the newer Dimensity 9400 processor. This model includes a slightly smaller 5800mAh battery, though it retains the same 90W charging capability.
The X200 FE includes a rear setup with a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter. This configuration offers versatility for various photography scenarios.
Meanwhile, the Vivo X200 carries three 50MP lenses on the rear — a primary sensor, a periscope telephoto, and an ultra-wide unit — delivering a more powerful imaging package. It also adds a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video conferencing.
While the Vivo X200 FE offers a trimmed-down experience, it remains competitive with its flagship sibling by delivering strong performance, extended battery life, and modern design at a lower price. The original Vivo X200, however, still holds its ground with a superior display size, enhanced cameras, and a more powerful processor.
